Text-Back for Contractors

Stop losing customers
to missed calls.

What happens when someone calls your business and you don't answer? They move on to the next guy. We send 'em a text to keep that from happening.

Risk-free: No new customer this month? Don't worry, it's free. Every time. It pays for itself no matter what.

Bob's Plumbing here!

How can we help? Reply to this to tell us!
Water heater's leaking, can someone come today?
Thanks! Your message was sent to our team and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

That reply lands on your phone in seconds — with their number and what they need.

Your phone rings.
Nobody answers.
We've got it.

  • Most customers — especially younger ones — hate voicemails. They just move on to the next business on Google.
  • Boomerang texts them the second a call hits your voicemail, keeping them with you instead.
  • And young people love to text — so the conversation carries on where they are comfortable.
1

You miss a call

After hours. On another job. Receptionist taking a long lunch. Or you just can't get to the phone.

2

We text them

"Hi, thanks for calling [Your Business]! What can we do for you…" They can reply and tell you what they need.

3

Their reply goes straight to you or your team

You see their number and what they need. Call or text back and book the job. Can be sent to your email as well, and can be easily changed for each shift.

Everything's yours
to change.

  • You get your own personal website — just yours. Say who gets the customer texts and when: mornings to you, afternoons to your foreman, weekends to whoever's on call.
  • Change it whenever you want, right from your phone. Voicemails show up in there too, your automatic message is yours to reword, and you can record your own voicemail greeting straight into the page.

Our risk-free guarantee

If Boomerang does not help you book at least one new customer in a month, tell us. That month is free. No hoops. No hassle.

One plan. No surprises.

$199
per month · cancel anytime
  • Automated text reply on every missed call
  • Replies forwarded instantly to your phone
  • Works with your existing business number
  • Setup and onboarding included
  • No long-term contracts
  • Risk-free guarantee, every single month

For businesses with exceptionally high call volumes, pricing may be adjusted to account for the additional messaging costs involved — and we'll always have that conversation with you first. The vast majority of service businesses will never come close to that threshold. For most, $199 is all you'll ever pay.

Straight answers

Do I have to change my business or personal phone number?
No. You keep all your numbers. We use an extra number to send the follow-up texts and act as your new voicemail. Turning it on will take you about 30 seconds once it's ready, and we help you do it.
What exactly do my customers receive?
One friendly text per missed call letting them know it's you (you can have it say anything you'd like). Their reply is sent to your phone, and they get a short text back saying it reached you. Here is an example:
Bob's Plumbing here!

How can we help? Reply to this to tell us!

Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
How long does setup take?
For you, minutes. It'll be about a week or two until we get your texting number set up (we need it to send texts to your customers). Once that is done, your setup page has you live in about two minutes, and we'll help by phone if you want it.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. It's month to month at $199, and you can cancel any time — cancellation simply takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Can I have other employees receive the customer texts and voicemails throughout the day?
Yes. You can set up shifts for who gets the customer texts at any given time - it's very easy to change whenever you need to. We give you a personal control panel for you to change shifts, check voicemails, and edit your automated messages.
Can I change what is said in the automated messages that go to the customer?
Yes. We give you a personal control panel for you to change shifts, check voicemails, and edit your automated messages. You can type whatever you want, provided the message tells your customer it's your business that is texting them (that's the law). We'll add the rest of the legal stuff to the end of the text for you.
Hi! Thanks for calling John's HVAC!

What can we help you with today? Just reply to this and it'll go straight to us!
Is this compliant? Can people opt out?
Yes — the service is built around TCPA and CTIA messaging practices: every text identifies your business, includes the message-and-data-rates notice, and honors STOP instantly and permanently. Only people who called you first ever receive a text, one automated message per missed call, and never any marketing blasts. We also give you simple one-line disclosures for your website and voicemail greeting.
What if it doesn't get me a customer one month?
Then that month is free. If you can't point to at least one booking Boomerang helped you land in a given month, reach out and we waive the fee — that's the guarantee, and it applies every single month, forever.

The short version

What it is
When a call to your business goes unanswered, Boomerang Texts sends the caller a text. Their reply comes straight to your phone, so they book with you instead of calling the next business.
Who it's for
Plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians and other contractors and local service businesses.
Price
$199 a month, month to month. Cancel any time. For exceptionally high call volumes, pricing may be adjusted — always discussed with you first.
Guarantee
If Boomerang doesn't help you book at least one new customer in a month, tell us and that month is free. Every month.
Your numbers
You keep your business and personal numbers. Boomerang adds a texting number that also acts as your voicemail.
Setup
Minutes of your time. Registering your texting number takes about a week or two, then one small change on your phone line switches it on. We send you a setup page, and we can walk you through it on the phone if you want.
Your control panel
Choose who gets the texts on each shift, listen to voicemails, and change your automatic message, all from your phone.
Compliance
Only people who called you get a text: one per missed call, never marketing blasts. Every text names your business, and replying STOP works instantly and permanently.
🪃

You're all set!

Your payment method is saved securely — you haven't been charged. We'll reach out in a day or two to complete your setup, and your first $199 monthly charge happens only once your text line is verified and live. Check your email for next steps.

Terms of Service

Boomerang Technologies · BoomerangTexts.com · Last updated: July 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By subscribing to the Boomerang Texts service ("Service"), you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Boomerang Technologies, a sole proprietorship operating BoomerangTexts.com ("Boomerang," "we," "us"). Please read them carefully before activating your subscription. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.

2. Description of Service

Boomerang Texts provides an automated SMS follow-up service for service-based businesses. When an inbound call to a Client's registered business phone number goes unanswered, the Service automatically sends a text message to the caller on the Client's behalf. Any response from the caller is then forwarded to the Client's designated recipient phone number.

3. Client Authorization and Consent

By activating the Service, the Client explicitly authorizes Boomerang Technologies to:

  • Send automated SMS messages to callers on the Client's behalf when a call goes unanswered.
  • Forward caller replies and contact information to the Client's designated manager or owner phone number.
  • Act as the Client's messaging agent for the sole purpose of customer follow-up as described in Section 2.

The Client acknowledges that an inbound missed call from a potential customer constitutes an implicit expression of interest and serves as the acceptable triggering event for the initial outbound text message under applicable telemarketing and messaging regulations. The Client accepts full responsibility for ensuring this basis complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines.

4. Client Obligations — Mandatory Disclosures

As a condition of using this Service, the Client agrees to maintain the following disclosures at all times while the Service is active:

  • Website disclosure: The Client agrees to add a visible notice to their business website informing visitors that by contacting the business, they may receive an automated follow-up text message. Suggested language: "If you call us and we are unable to answer, you may receive an automated follow-up text message regarding your inquiry."
  • Voicemail/answering message disclosure: The Client agrees to include a brief notice in their voicemail or phone greeting. Suggested language: "Please note that if we miss your call, you may receive a follow-up text message from us shortly."
  • Messaging rate notice: The Client's disclosures must include, or be accompanied by, notice that standard message and data rates may apply to recipients of text messages sent through this Service.
  • Opt-out information: Clients are encouraged to inform message recipients that they may reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, in accordance with CTIA best practices.
  • Privacy: The Client agrees not to use phone numbers or customer information collected through this Service for any purpose other than direct follow-up related to the original inquiry.

Failure to maintain these disclosures does not relieve the Client of their legal obligations and may result in suspension or termination of the Service at Boomerang's discretion.

5. Outbound Message Compliance

Boomerang Technologies is committed to ensuring that all automated messages sent through the Service comply with applicable federal regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices. The following standards are built into every outbound message sent on a Client's behalf:

  • Opt-out instruction: Every initial automated text message will include a clear opt-out notice: "Reply STOP to opt out of further messages." Recipients who reply STOP will be immediately removed from further automated contact.
  • Business identification: Each message will clearly identify the Client's business by name so the recipient knows who is contacting them.
  • Message and data rate notice: Outbound messages will include notice that standard message and data rates may apply.
  • Single initial contact: The Service sends one automated follow-up text per missed call. No further automated messages are sent unless the recipient replies and engages.
  • No promotional content: Automated messages are limited to follow-up inquiries directly related to the missed call. No unsolicited marketing or promotional content will be included.
  • Honoring opt-outs: Any recipient who replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT will be immediately and permanently suppressed from future automated messages, in accordance with CTIA guidelines.

While Boomerang Technologies builds these protections into the Service, the Client remains ultimately responsible for ensuring their use of the Service complies with all applicable laws. Boomerang Technologies will make reasonable efforts to stay current with evolving messaging regulations and update the Service accordingly.

6. Legal Responsibility

The Client assumes full legal responsibility for the use of this Service, including any claims, disputes, fines, or liability arising from the sending of automated text messages on the Client's behalf. Boomerang Technologies acts solely as a technical service provider and makes no warranty that use of the Service complies with the laws of any specific jurisdiction. Clients are solely responsible for obtaining their own legal counsel to confirm compliance.

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Boomerang Technologies, its owner, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from the Client's use of the Service.

7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

Boomerang Technologies reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or business, or to terminate an existing subscription at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion. In the event that Boomerang Technologies initiates termination of an active subscription mid-month, the Client will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of that billing period. The Client may also cancel at any time per Section 9.

8. Pricing and Billing

The standard monthly subscription fee is $199.00, billed on a recurring basis. For Clients whose business generates call volumes that result in messaging costs substantially exceeding the standard rate, Boomerang reserves the right to propose an adjusted pricing structure. Any such change will be communicated to the Client in advance, and the Client may cancel their subscription prior to the adjustment taking effect.

9. Risk-Free Guarantee

If, in any given calendar month, the Client cannot identify at least one customer booking or appointment facilitated through the Boomerang Texts follow-up service, the Client may contact Boomerang Texts to request a full waiver of that month's fee. This guarantee applies on a month-by-month basis and must be requested within 30 days of the billing date for that period.

10. Cancellation

The Client may cancel their subscription at any time by contacting Boomerang Texts. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued for Client-initiated cancellations outside of the guarantee described in Section 9.

11. Modifications to Terms

Boomerang Technologies reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes via email or text. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Questions about these Terms can be directed to: james@boomerangtexts.com

Privacy Policy

Boomerang Technologies · BoomerangTexts.com · Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Boomerang Technologies ("Boomerang," "we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietorship operating BoomerangTexts.com and the Boomerang missed-call text follow-up service (the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects information. It applies both to the businesses that subscribe to the Service ("Clients") and to the people who call those businesses and may receive a text message through the Service ("Message Recipients").

The short version: We collect only what we need to send a follow-up text after a missed call and route the reply to the business. We never sell or share the phone numbers, messages, or SMS opt-in information of people who call our Clients. Our home page, our How It Works page and our advertising landing pages use the Meta Pixel — and, for signups made on them, Meta's Conversions API — to measure our own ads, and you can switch both off (Section 8).

1. Information We Collect

From Clients (subscribing businesses):

  • Business name, owner/contact name, business phone number, and the phone number(s) where replies should be forwarded.
  • Account and onboarding details, including any custom voicemail greeting or schedule you provide.
  • Billing information processed through our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers — see Section 4).

From Message Recipients (people who call a Client's business):

  • Your mobile phone number, captured when your call to a participating business is missed.
  • The content of text messages you send in reply, which we forward to the business so they can help you.
  • Basic call and message metadata (such as time of the call and message delivery status).
  • Whether you have opted out of further messages.

From website visitors: standard, limited technical information (such as your browser type and pages viewed) needed to operate and secure the website. We also count visits to our public pages with a cookieless analytics tool that stores nothing on your device and does not identify you — see Section 4. On our home page, our How It Works page and our advertising landing pages, the Meta Pixel also collects information about your visit — see Section 5.

2. How We Use Information

  • To send a single automated follow-up text on the Client's behalf after a missed call.
  • To forward your reply to the Client's designated owner or manager so they can respond.
  • To send you a confirmation that your message was forwarded.
  • To honor opt-out requests and maintain a suppression list so opted-out numbers are not contacted again.
  • To operate, support, secure, and improve the Service, and to bill Clients.
  • To comply with legal obligations and applicable messaging regulations (including the TCPA and CTIA guidelines).

3. SMS / Mobile Information — No Sharing for Marketing

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information — including your mobile phone number — with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information about your consent to receive text messages (your SMS opt-in) is never shared with any third party for any purpose, except with the messaging providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you have agreed to receive.

Text messages sent through the Service are transactional follow-ups to a call you placed to a participating business. They are not marketing messages.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

4. Service Providers We Use

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service, and we share only the information necessary for them to perform their function:

  • Twilio — to send and receive text messages, handle call routing, and record after-hours voicemails on our behalf.
  • Deepgram — to turn recorded voicemails into text, so the business can read a message instead of having to listen to it. Deepgram receives the voicemail audio only to produce that transcript: we have opted out of its model-improvement program, so it keeps the audio only as long as it takes to transcribe and does not use it to train its models.
  • Stripe — to process Client subscription payments. Stripe handles card data directly; we do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Hosting and email providers — to run the website and communicate with Clients.
  • Cloudflare — to count visits to our public web pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, does not recognize you from one visit to the next, and does not follow you to other websites. Visits are counted by noticing which website linked you to us, not by identifying you. It reports totals only — how many times pages were viewed, the country a visit came from, the site that linked to us, the browser and device type, and how quickly pages loaded. Cloudflare sees your IP address the way any website you visit does, and states that it does not use it to track people over time. It runs on our public pages only — never on the client portal, the setup and onboarding pages, or anything a Message Recipient sees — and any browser content blocker stops it.

These providers are bound to use the information only to provide services to us. We do not authorize them to use Recipient mobile numbers or opt-in data for their own purposes.

5. How We Share Information Otherwise

Beyond the providers above, we share a Message Recipient's phone number and message content only with the specific Client business the Recipient called — that is the entire purpose of the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Boomerang, our Clients, or others. We never sell or share Message Recipients' information with anyone.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). These pages of our website use the Meta Pixel — a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc., the company behind Facebook and Instagram: our home page (boomerangtexts.com), our How It Works page (boomerangtexts.com/how-it-works), and our advertising landing pages, which are boomerangtexts.com/go and its versions for particular trades, whose addresses begin boomerangtexts.com/go- (such as boomerangtexts.com/go-hvac). We use it to measure how well our own ads work — including when a business that saw one of our ads comes back to our website later to sign up — and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. When you visit one of those pages, the Pixel may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page you viewed, and cookies Meta uses to recognize your browser, and it tells us when a business submits our signup form, taps to call or text us, or taps our demo number. So that a single visit is reported once rather than several times, those pages also keep a short-lived marker in your browser's session storage recording that an action has already been counted — your browser discards it when you close the tab, and it holds no personal information. Meta may use this information to measure and deliver our ads and for its own purposes, as described in Meta's Privacy Policy. The Pixel itself does not read what you type into our forms (the signup details our server shares are described next), and it never receives the phone numbers, messages, or SMS opt-in information of people who call our Clients. It runs only on those pages — not on the rest of our website, the client portal, the pages that help our Clients set up their service, or anything a Message Recipient sees. To opt out, see Section 8.

Server-side measurement (Meta Conversions API). When a business signs up on one of those pages, our server also tells Meta about the signup directly — once when the form is submitted and again when the payment method is saved — so it can be matched to the ad that led to it even if a browser blocked the Pixel. With it we send the email address, phone numbers, name, city, state, and ZIP code entered on the form, each scrambled with a one-way hash (SHA-256) before it leaves our server, along with the Pixel's browser and ad-click identifiers, the IP address, and the browser type. Meta uses these to match the signup to its accounts and to measure and improve our ads. We never send EINs, legal business names, street addresses, websites, card details, or anything about the people who call our Clients. This happens only for signups made on those pages, and never for a browser sending Global Privacy Control.

6. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and compliance obligations. Opt-out records are retained as long as necessary to ensure we continue to honor your opt-out. Recorded after-hours voicemails are automatically deleted approximately 90 days after they are received; a Client may delete their voicemails sooner from their control panel, and we may delete them sooner as needed.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to operate the Service.

8. Your Choices

  • Opt out of texts: reply STOP to any message (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT all work). You will be suppressed from further automated messages. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Get help: reply HELP to a message, or email us at james@boomerangtexts.com.
  • Access or delete your data: contact us at the email above and we will respond as required by applicable law.
  • Opt out of ad measurement: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (available in browsers such as Firefox, Brave, and DuckDuckGo) and our website will not load the Meta Pixel on any page, and our server will not send Meta anything about your signup. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We never sell or share Message Recipients' information. Our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API on our website (Section 5) may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honor automatically as a valid opt-out request. To exercise your other rights, contact us at james@boomerangtexts.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and their adult customers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify Clients of material changes. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Boomerang Technologies · BoomerangTexts.com · Last updated: July 2026

These SMS Terms describe the text messaging program operated by Boomerang Technologies ("Boomerang," "we," "us") on behalf of participating businesses. By contacting a participating business or by opting in as described below, you agree to these terms.

1. About the Program

Boomerang provides an automated missed-call follow-up service for local service businesses. When you call a participating business and your call is not answered, you may receive a single automated text message from that business inviting you to share how they can help. If you reply, your message is forwarded to the business and you may receive a brief confirmation. This is a customer-care conversation — it is not marketing.

2. Your Consent

By placing a call to a participating business, you consent to receive a follow-up text message regarding your inquiry. When a business is closed, you may instead be asked to press 1 to confirm you would like to receive a text — pressing 1 is your opt-in. You may also be invited to leave a voicemail. We send messages only to people who first contacted the business; we do not send unsolicited texts.

3. Message Frequency

This is not a recurring or subscription text program. You receive an automated follow-up after a missed call, plus any messages that are part of the back-and-forth you start by replying. Frequency depends on your own interaction with the business.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Boomerang does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates may apply to messages you send or receive.

5. How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. The keywords STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT all work. After you opt out, you will not receive further automated messages from that business through the Service. If you change your mind, reply START to opt back in.

6. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email us at james@boomerangtexts.com. Each automated message identifies the business contacting you so you always know who the message is from.

7. Carrier Liability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's transmission and effective only when received.

8. Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.

9. Changes

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
